The first two books in the Blood Runners trilogy are live, the last coming in less than two weeks! So far, readers are loving the books. How about you?
Check out these Blood Runners reviews:
★★★★★ I liked the cover and the blurb. It’s lite GameLit that’s heavy on the story. Absolution has something I’ve been missing in LitRPG and GameLit that I used to have in tabletop games that I used to GM: Characters running for their lives. Dodging disasters. Getting knocked down, beaten up and then running like hell to reach the next breather. They are surrounded by overpowering enemies, jumping at shadows and entering the zone to thread the needle where they are alive at the end. I loved that about this book. Great word building. Gaming stuff that stays in the background but never forgotten, XP gains during fights where it doesn’t break the flow but a natural part of the world. It looks seamless for me.
Reminds me of Logan’s run, Running Man, Escape from New York and oddly Ready Player One.
Including my favorite quote with permission from one of the author’s because I thought it was cool:
Longman hated leather straps. They just didn’t wear as well as synthetic materials and the inner fibers, when splashed with blood, seemed to somehow separate and pull apart. The straps holding Moses O’Shea to the wooden chair were double-strength nylon. The kind used back in the glorious days of enhanced interrogation. They would hold.
I just loved that attention to detail. It reminded me of Dexter making sure his tools were in order. So I loved this book. The book was exciting and absorbing all the way through (the authors are both pros at this). I very much recommend this one.

It’s here! Book 7 in the Reclaiming Honor series. Enjoy!
A dream of peace. A hand of justice. A time for closure.
Valerie has found her way full circle, heading back to Europe, where it all began. New enemies await, calling themselves The Gods, and the journey to put an end to the atlantic pirate problem means dealing with the local trouble makers as well as these false gods.
For Cammie and Royland, it also means bringing a boy to his home, and ensuring he has a safe place to live.
Meanwhile, Diego and Sgt. Garcia begin their journey to secure their side of America. While victory is close at hand, theirs is a world where cutting off hands seems just as likely as shaking them. Will they be able to convince the locals peace is worth having?
Defending the Lost is part of The Kurtherian Gambit Universe.
Here are a couple of reviews so far 🙂
Well this story was definitely a bit of a wild ride. Val goes on a cruise to strange lands meets weird people and delivers a boat load of Justice. Looks like it will now be a bit of a wait until the next book😎 looking forward to reading the next book.
Great continuation of the story. We find out more of the continued growth of our favorite characters and some of the personal worries that are on their mind especially our tough Werewolf Cammie. I think this book dives into the emotional growth of a lot of the main characters and where they might be headed. Wonderful learning more about how earth continued after the WWDE as it struggles to come back during the time that BA is away. If you haven’t read the previous books grab them and have a Valarie and friends fest over the long weekend.
UNEDITED – Hello, all. We thought it would be fun to have an epilogue to book 4 and are sharing it with you exclusively here 🙂 A little bonus for being on my site.
Downside? It’s unedited right now. So if you’d like to take a look and find errors, please send them my way. I’ll have it edited when my editor is doing with this other book of mine she’s finishing up. THANKS!
A gentle breeze blew the grass along the hilltop where Dan sat, like a breath of calm and peace brought down by the gods. An odd thought, he noted to himself, considering that he was sitting there and staring out at the massive destruction in this syndicate-made lake. Rumor had it, Samantha had been behind this, and now she was gone.
Dan had seen her in action though, he had seen what she was capable back when he was supposed to be guarding her and she’d caused an explosion with her mind. If there was one thing he was sure of, it was that Samantha couldn’t really be gone. That girl was a survivor.
Sitting here, staring at this destruction, Dan realized that he too was going to be a survivor from now on. And not just a follower, not a straggler, and not someone who managed to find their way into other’s protection.
He was going to follow her example and ensure that, as long as he had breath to fight, he would be fighting back and helping to bring others to fight alongside him.
That was the power of her, in addition to this magic. He had sensed something more in her the moment they had met—an ability to inspire.
Even now, when everyone told him she was dead, he was inspired.
He stared up at the heavens, considering the time ship and those who had gone after it. Quinn herself, even.
It had been one week, and nothing had changed. NOTHING. (more…)
